Big news! Two sister services are actually launching today: Palia Trading and Palia Portal. Palia Portal is, for the moment, simply linking Palia Party and Palia Trading together, while Palia Trading is where players can connect and plan out trades efficiently. Together, they're the first step toward bringing the Palia online community together in more ways.
Over at paliatrading.app, items can be tracked down in two ways.
Sources for most items are laid out on their item pages, so a gathering or crafting run can be planned solo, or with a party.
For anyone who'd rather skip the grind, items can also be traded directly with other players. A listing gets posted, offers get browsed, and a swap gets worked out.
Palia Trading supports four trading categories:
You can also save and track your collection progress to your account.
palia.app is all about connecting the community together. For now, it links to Palia Party and Palia Trading, but it's built to become the unified home for more Palia community connecting features.
There is no extra charge or additional package to purchase. If you have a Premium Membership with Palia Party already, it will carry over to Palia Trading and Palia Portal as well. Other than no ads, there are no additional Premium Membership features at the moment, but plans are in the works.
Palia Party isn't going anywhere. It's still the home for doing activities together. Cooking, hunting, fishing, exploring, whatever a group is up to, that's where it gets organized.
The Trading and Party services are built to work side by side. Activities get planned on Palia Party, item swaps get sorted out on Palia Trading.
In the future, there are also plans to better integrate plushie giveaway parties with the new trading features.
In the near future, Palia Party will go through a data migration that ties its data more closely to the rest of the Palia Portal and Palia Trading ecosystem. Each service's data will stop being kept in its own silo and will start being shared across the whole portal.
This will help to keep up with Palia's constant updates. New features, items, and recipes are added regularly, and existing ones sometimes change. Keeping track of all this manually is a challenge, so connecting Palia Party to the same backend infrastructure as Palia Trading and Palia Portal will help bring consistency and accuracy to the system as a whole.
The new backend infrastructure will also help introduce more requested features, such as more granular party filters, blocking/following users, etc.
Further down the road, everything will move over to palia.app. All existing links will continue to work, but will be redirected, e.g. paliaparty.app/abc123 to palia.app/party/abc123, and paliatrading.app/abcd1234 to palia.app/trading/abcd1234. It will become one cohesive website where Palians can find each other and connect more easily across many types of activities.
Head over to the public roadmap and make your voice heard. It's an open space where existing feature suggestions can be voted on, and new ones can be suggested as well.
Happy trading and happy partying! 🎉
