This is due to the nature of real-time chat and map data. Unlike a static website, which can be served by a simple server, real-time data applications require more complex infrastructure to handle the constant communication and data synchronization. As a result, operational expenses have started to exceed incoming donations.
The commitment to ensuring Palia Party remains free for all is unwavering. No user will ever be asked to directly donate or pay for access. This core principle will always be upheld. Essential features will never be protected behind a paywall, and the site will always be free for everyone to use.
To ensure the site remains free, fast, and scalable for everyone, a new, sustainable funding model has been implemented. Display advertising is being introduced on the site. Understanding that ads can be disruptive, a partnership has been formed with Playwire , a trusted and premium ad technology company that is a Google Certified Publisher Partner. This partnership guarantees high-quality ads that follow strict standards, while providing the necessary revenue to maintain Palia Party's operations and server performance. Over the next few weeks, various types of ad units and placements will be tested to ensure the best possible user experience.
For those who prefer an ad-free experience or desire additional customization, future monetization options will include complete removal of ads and premium and personalized features. These options will always be supplemental and entirely optional, focused on enhancing the experience rather than restricting access.
Funds generated from both ads and future premium options will go directly toward covering increasing operational costs and accelerating the development of new features.
