Hunting Party Guide

Hunting is a crucial skill for gathering hides and rare drops, but it is often inefficient when done alone. Group hunting is vital for taking down large or rare creatures and maximizes efficiency through shared loot.
Hunting Party Mechanics
Cooperation in Hunting focuses on sharing the valuable loot from every creature felled by the group.
Shared Loot
- Full Rewards: Any player who contributes at least one arrow hit to a creature before it is defeated receives full, separate loot and XP. You do not split the hide or meat; everyone gets their own full drop.
- Proximity Loot: When hunting near party members, you'll automatically receive loot from creatures they defeat, even if you didn't land a hit. This shared loot is identical for all nearby party members and has a chance to be doubled!
Essential Equipment
Before heading out on a hunt, ensure you have the proper equipment:
- A fully repaired bow (check durability before departing)
- Repair Kits to fix your bow during long hunting sessions
- Plenty of arrows - you'll be making lots of shots, especially in groups
Types of Arrows
Choose your arrows based on your target and hunting style. Running out of arrows mid-hunt can be frustrating and inefficient.
- Makeshift Arrows: A simple arrow that deals low damage. Best for beginners or when resources are scarce, though you'll need more hits to take down creatures.
- Standard Arrows: A balanced choice for common targets, offering good damage while remaining cost-effective.
- Fine Arrows: A high-quality arrow that deals significantly more damage than standard arrows. Ideal for quickly taking down tougher creatures when you need that extra punch.
- Slowdown Arrows: Specialized arrows that deal average damage while slowing down creatures. Perfect for hunting fast-moving targets like Chapaas or when hunting solo to land more consistent shots.
- Dispel Arrows: Essential for hunting rare, glowing Elder Sernuk and Ember Chapaa in Bahari Bay. These creatures require the Dispel Arrow to be defeated and yield the most valuable loot.
Targeted Hunting
Organized groups focus on specific high-value creatures to maximize profit and rare materials.
High-Value Targets
- Sernuk: Good source of Sernuk Hide and meat. A group can efficiently clear the large herds in Bahari Bay.
- Chapaa: Drops Chapaa Fur and meat. They move quickly, making them ideal targets for a coordinated group where multiple players can secure a hit before the creature bolts.
- Muujin: These small, fast creatures are found in the forests of Bahari Bay. They drop Muujin Fur and are known for their quick movements. Best hunted with Slowdown Arrows to counteract their speed.
- Ogopuu: Large, docile creatures that roam the open fields. They drop Ogopuu Hide and are relatively easy to hunt due to their slow movement. Their size makes them easy to spot from a distance.
- Shmole: Rare, burrowing creatures that can be found in specific locations. They drop Shmole Claws and require precise timing to hit as they quickly burrow underground. Best approached with a coordinated group to maximize hits before they disappear.
Meeting Points
- When joining a hunting party, confirm the designated meeting point before setting out.
- Always arrive at the meeting point a few minutes early to ensure the group can depart on time. If you're hosting, consider using a Flare Arrow to mark the exact gathering spot, especially in crowded areas.
Etiquette and Communication
Good communication ensures everyone in the area benefits from a rare find.
- Callouts: If you find a rare creature (like an Elder Sernuk), call it out in Server Chat (e.g., "Elder in F7").
- Wait to Shoot: Wait a brief moment for any nearby players who are "omw" to arrive and get a hit before taking down the creature.
- Flares: Use Flare Arrows to mark the exact location of a rare creature, making it easier for distant players to reach you before the target despawns.
- Event Participation: When joining organized hunts, always follow the host's instructions and respect the established rules
